MIMS --Music Is My Savior

MIMS debut album was viewed as one of the most anticipated rap albums of the year. Most tracks on the album are completely hit or miss. However even a good track can be ruined by him restating "This is why I'm Hot." Okay we all know that the record blew up and that it was a hot track, but MIMS repeats this line in about four songs. This actually ruins most tracks, for instance "They Don't Want to Play" ft. Bun B is a decent song until you hear him toss that line in. The album is hard to define based on the fact that no song is stellar other than the first single, and there are only a handful of decent tracks. Overall the album isn't a complete loss, but don't expect anyone to put it on the top rap albums of the year or even anticipate his next LP. The album is still loaded good beats. Much like the lyrics to the first single, the whole album is music that you could have playing in the background when doing something, but it will never take center stage. Songs of interested: Big Black Train, Cop It, Just Like That, I Did You Wrong
